
With Labour, the Conservatives, the Liberal Democrats, the Greens and Restore Britain all sitting this one out, the headline “challenger” slot has fallen to Count Binface – the space-helmeted novelty candidate who’s become a fixture of high-profile UK by-elections. Early polling (a Survation survey for Mandate Research, reported 2 August) put Farage on roughly 73% to Binface’s 20%, on what’s expected to be a low turnout.
