CPP Group UK appoints new commercial development manager

CPP Group UK has appointed Anna Sant as its newest commercial development manager for its parametric insurance offerings.

As commercial development manager, Sant will work with the Leeds-based firm’s sales, business development, and CPP Blink Parametric teams, as well as CPP UK’s parent business CPP Group.

A travel insurance expert with considerable contacts and expertise, Sant joins CPP Group UK from Moneysupermarket Group, where she spent 17 years of her career. At Moneysupermarket Group, she rose to the senior management team in charge of travel insurance distribution and partners throughout her tenure. In her role as the second-in-command for Moneysupermarket’s travel insurance division, she has worked with major UK travel insurance brands and insurers.

Sant’s appointment comes following a period of “significant growth” for CPP Group UK, a release said. It also follows CPP’s launch of a world-first parametric lost luggage product, Smart Luggage, in the summer of 2021. Smart Luggage utilises parametric technology to offer airline passengers real-time support and cash assistance in the event their checked-in luggage is lost or delayed.

CPP UK country CEO Carl Carter described Sant’s appointment as a “springboard moment for CPP Blink Parametrics and an opportunity to finetune the CPP Blink Parametric offering in travel and other insurances.”

“Anna’s appointment couldn’t be better timed as holidaymakers are feeling more confident about travelling again and parametric insurance solutions provide a huge opportunity for travel insurance brands and insurers to differentiate themselves, reduce the claims handling burden, whilst significantly improving the customer experience and delight,” the CEO stated.

“CPP felt like a great fit for me,” added Sant, “and I’m really excited about the opportunity to help insurers and insurance brands take full advantage of this innovative parametric insurance technology as we emerge from the pandemic and consumers get the opportunity to travel again.
